Once there was a man..

Once there was a man, walking on the beach while the sun slipped away into the sea. His thoughts were far away, as he was strolling around on a very slow pace.

After a while, he took a seat and stared with blind eyes right in front of him, Thinking about everything that happened in the past few weeks, the face of his late father appeared inside his mind.

He saw the face of his beloved father, as if it was lingering above the water. A tear rolled down his cheek as the father was smiling to him.

He asked softly: Father, I worked so hard to get where I am today. Why do I still feel an empty place in my heart?

The fathers face smiled and said right into his mind: son, you will never have this feeling again, if you follow your heart and let it bring you to your final destination. Not by working everyday and have plenty of money, but by enjoying your life and live it the way you want. Doing the things that you feel good about doing. If you can do that, you’ll become one of the luckiest persons alive.

The father’s face smiled again and slowly faded away as the man opened his eyes again and wiped away his tears. He sat back up looked over his shoulder and said: it’s time for me to leave my old habits behind and go live my life my way. That’s what I need to do right now.

He looked back up and said softly: thank you very much father. You will never be forgotten.

The last part of the sun sunk away behind the horizon, while the man stood up and went forward into his life with renewed energy and a bright view on the road ahead.
