A village under the stars chapter three: travelers bay.
When Zandr finished working on the village center, he overlooked it with pride. He felt good to be doing something like this. To help not only himself, but others as well.
Many travelers had decided to come to rest for a couple of hours or days at the village, so Zandr gained another great idea. Instead of building the town just for the species who already lived on the planet, it would be even more beautiful if he turned it into a village for stranded travelers who needed a bit of rest.
While Zandr was decorating the outdoors of the village, same as he was making the houses ready to welcome guests, he also thought it would be a great idea to add something to the village that perfectly fitted in.
He had built some houses underwater, and some boat-like houses too, but this one was going to be bigger than what he had built so far. It was also, in his opinion a great add-on to the village, as the location was perfectly suitable for it.
For this one, he started by building a staircase all the way from the heights of the village square, to the point where the ocean and the sand rested together holding hands. Then he created a walkway over the water that ended at the terminal where you could enter a large ship. a boat, that was created in the style of a cruise ship.
It was a bit more challenging building this, compared to what Zandr had built all before, but it was a challenge he was willing to accept. He started building the ground case and first went downstairs to build a part where he was certain that it seemed as if the ship was really sailing the oceans.
Building this however, took already a couple of hours and so this ship was not going to be built in one day, the same as the rest of the village was. He decided to take some rest when the base of the ship was ready and went back on the next morning with renewed energy.
Days passed by as he was building the ship from the bottom to the top, and when he finished building the shell of the ship, he started decorating it entirely from the top to the bottom.
When he was halfway finished building the entire ship, devastating news came to him. He gained a call one day earlier from a friend, who was in the same galaxy at that time and so Zandr invited him over to the village.
When he arrived there, it felt great for Zandr to see his friend again after such a long time. They gave each other a hug and took a seat at the village square. There they were talking about the latest news and things they had gone through. It was at that exact moment that Zandr came to know that one of his other best friends, who he grew up with, passed away a couple of weeks ago.
Hearing this news, something inside of him cracked. He felt himself getting weak and knew immediately that this was not good. That’s why he decided to take some rest for a couple of weeks and didn’t continue building. It was simply too much for him at this moment. He needed some time to get his mind back into the right condition.

A couple of weeks went by since he heard the news of his late friend. Zandr had done nothing anymore since he had heard the news. The last couple of weeks were heavy and he had gone through a very difficult time in his life. Luckily for him, there were still travelers coming and going every day. Talking to them helped him figure out some things, but it was only when an old Gek, who he talked to at the village square, told him: “Grief is a temporary pain, remembering the good things about a loss is something worth fighting for every day.” Those words gave Zandr’s mind a power boost and he felt that it was time to turn the page and continue his own story.
