Linkin Park returns with Emily Armstrong honoring Chester’s legacy.
Seven years ago the world collapsed for Linkin Park and their enormous fan base. The announcement that Chester Bennington died at a way too young age due to suicide dropped in like a bomb for the entire music industry.
Many musicians, fans, friends and especially family were left behind heartbroken.
Since then, much has happened in the world. Many things that happened during the last seven years made many people insecure, heartbroken, angry, sad, sometimes happy. The feelings were raging on high speed.
A true musician or music fan sought comfort in the things that made them happy. But as we all know every dark side has a bright side too. So today the bright side returned for Linkin Park and their fans, with the announcement of their new singer: Emily Armstrong. Along with this announcement they added three more, very exciting, announcements: A new single, a new album and a tour with the new formation. This news has been one of the biggest announcements since Chester left us all.
With the new lead voice, there are of course many different opinions. Some say it’s not good, others are very excited about this. Well, to put it in perspective: I think we should give it time to develop. Nothing that ever happened was done perfectly since the first moments. Therefore we need to respect the band’s decision and let time do the rest. In my opinion, this first blink we got came in very promising. Now it’s time to give them the chance to develop their new setting.
In honor of Chester Bennington. ~If you fear life, then you will never live.~
