It is with deep sadness in the hearts of all heavy music fans, that we have to say goodbye to Mark Lanegan. Once, he was a brilliant performer, now he belongs to the list of greatest artists of all time who left us way too early.
It doesn’t matter which music genre you listen to, when the name; Mark Lanegan is called out, we all immediately have a common feeling in our hearts. A voice whispering silently into your ears. An image that pops up right before your eyes. He was a remarkable man, who gave the music industry an enlightenment that can go for years.
In light of the recent event, we must remember that we are not alone. The music industry is a huge family. We all belong together, we all share the same passion, the same victories, and the same tragedies. It is therefor well known that, whenever a great man leaves us, a new one joins us. Not to replace the other one, but to fill in the holes in our hearts.
Rest In Peace Mark. You will never be forgotten!
