Andy's Muse

Beyond the frame: ancient mysteries uncovered.

Beyond the frame: ancient mysteries uncovered.

Beyond the frame: ancient mysteries uncovered.

Everyone who is interested in the history of ancient Egypt; the pharaohs, the pyramids, all those ancient tombs across the wonderful country of Egypt, somehow must have thought: “how did those ancient humans live?”

For centuries, many people from around the world have been looking for the answers to that question. Digging up information and analyzing structures that the ancients built, and most importantly: how they have built those huge structures without the technology of today.

To celebrate that story, the country itself has invested heavily in the development of the new ‘Grand Egyptian Museum’.

Another massive building, but this time it is built with modern technology and materials. Developed by architects and engineers from around the world. All for one reason: To bring the ancient Egyptian world into the spotlight

And to be honest; standing in front of this new museum was incredible, but getting inside was even more impressive. Because, inside the new museum, there are stories, mysteries and much more finally uncovered that give us a more detailed view of how complex life in ancient Egypt truly was.

It gets even more interesting when you learn that the Grand Egyptian Museum was specifically designed to create a visual connection with the ancient pyramids of Giza.

And to stand there and overlook both the new museum and the pyramids at once, that is an impressive moment. One you won’t easily forget.

And that’s why this picture means so much to me personally. I’ve been fascinated by ancient Egyptian history for as long as I can remember.

Standing there, witnessing thousands of years of history meeting the modern world, was an experience I won’t easily forget.

Because sometimes, we don’t have to look into the future to discover something extraordinary.

Sometimes, we simply have to look back.

And beyond this frame, thousands of years of history are still waiting to tell their stories.
