The top twenty best songs from the Tony Hawk’s pro skater 1 en 2 games.

People who are in their mid-thirties surely remember the best skate game of all time. Twenty years ago, when we came home from school, the first thing that happened probably was doing our homework, and afterward, we had dinner. Eating quickly so that we finally were able to get our PlayStation up and running and start up the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games.

We were going through the entire career mode with our favorite skaters. We tried to complete the challenges throughout the game and open up new levels. Learning the tricks that we loved the most and trying to remember where the secret tape was located. Challenging our friends in a H.O.R.S.E. duel, a trick attack, Graffiti, or driving around the level and trying to tag the other player. Off course, we were also able to just go for a free skate with friends and just have fun.

Another huge part of the games was probably the music that kept us going. Back in the days, the music played in the games were songs that quickly got stuck in our heads, and today they still are. Sames as the games themselves, they left a legacy in the world of skateboarding. We probably still listen to the songs today, giving us instant flashbacks to our childhoods. In honor of these songs and the games, I’d like to do a throwback to a playlist that, after twenty years, is still a part of our long-term memory.

Here are my top twenty songs of the games and a short explanation of what they still do to me today. If anyone who reads this likes it, I’d like to invite you all to leave a comment with your favorite songs of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games.
